Paper into 3D and clay

Can a 2D piece become 3D?
Creating a flat image and making it 3D! Using a simple image on a sheet of paper and folding it so it will turn into a 3D object, creating an image ready to create fully as a 3D object.
A simple image propped up to become 2D. A floating image can also become 3D, just because it's a flat image doesn't mean other properties can't make it 3D.
Folding like origami - didn't work

A very simple quick sketch on Diana and Actaeons short scene folded to create a 3D object, that could potentially be a sculpture.

Abstract clay work linking with metamorphosis
With metamorphosis in mind I started pulling clay together to create some abstract ideas consisting of;
Body laying infront of cave
Antlers
People

This one I had in mind the cave and a figure laying in front of it, this later developed into a much larger plaster sculpture
